Women’s Recovery and Refuge Online (WRRO, pronounced WeRow) offers a variety of Buddhist informed support services for all women, including those that self identify as women, seeking ways to liberate the added suffering in their lives, caused by addiction.
As our services continue to expand and shrink, we update our Facebook page regularly, which is the heart of our community. Information on all our RR aligned phone meetings can be found on this page. We do not post our call-in numbers on public pages due to safety issues. Our aspiration is to provide a safe place for women that is free of stalking, lurking, geographical information, or any other technology, that could place our members in a vulnerable and/or dangerous position. Also, it is true that women thrive who have a safe place to tell their truths, to speak aloud in their creatively defined ways and to hear others do the same. We do not record our meetings, as a measure of confidentiality and trust.
While WeRow (WRRO) holds close to the principles and practices of Refuge Recovery, we consider ourselves to be more broadly informed and inspired by Buddhism. We do not use Buddhism as a religion, but as a liberating approach to a more wholesome life, while remaining thoroughly engaged with the world and cultures in which we live.
WeRow holds as true that it is possible to remain in refuge and sustain recovery no matter what a woman’s circumstance may be. We intend to evolve as a growing community and we hope to meet you on this path.
